There’s nothing I hate more than a butt-ugly album cover coming from mainstream/’a-list’ artist. I can live with a horrible mixtape cover. In fact, I’ve actually grown to expect them, but dumb-ass ugly poorly designed album covers is flat out unacceptable.
Both Kendrick and Lupe covers are prime examples where the artist’s pompous “vision” should be overruled by the powers that be. Explain the reasoning behind the covers as much you want, but at the end of the day, they’re still trash. They’re both poorly executed, beyond boring, uninspiring and lazy!
